One hour, every afternoon, rain or shine, in port of at sea, guests can enjoy tea and an assortment of tasty accompaniments. Don’t expect a traditional English High Tea. An authentic High Tea would incur a fee and require a much more formal atmosphere.
This is a, laid back, at sea version – Caribbean Princess style, which isn’t to say it’s somehow a lessor adaptation. There is an essence of elegance with the polished silver, fine china and the same style of service you would expect at High Tea.
Of course, there’s tea – lots of it. There’s always someone around ready to refill your cup. Then there is an endless supply of bite sized sandwiches of every sort, cookies, cakes and my favorite, scones, topped with mounds of cream and strawberry preserves. Every bite is a treat for the senses.
Afternoon tea only lasts an hour and it’s worth waiting for. In fact, I’m on my way there now!
